Trip Enables Teacher to Revive “Natural Curiosity” in Classroom

With test taking the primary emphasis in many of today’s classrooms, teachers often search for ways to keep their subjects fresh.  North Ridgeville High School biology teacher Elizabeth Katoa plans to use her unique summer experience with a global masters program to bring the world and the message of conservation to her students.

A World of Learning – Teacher Travels to Mongolia as part of Graduate Program

Students, Professors Travel to Namibia to Save Wildlife

Miami University partnership program offers real-world experience.

While most students and professors headed back to Oxford in August, those participating in Miami University’s Earth Expeditions program traveled to Namibia to work with the Cheetah Conservation Fund.  Leigh Welption, a 2005 Talawanda High School graduate, has been with the Cheetah Conservation Fund since graduating from UC Berkely in 2008.
