Our Lady of Victory Teacher Spends Summer Learning

Christina Amrein spent part of her summer vacation learning lessons she’ll teach this fall in her Our Lady of Victory classroom. Amhein was in Kenya for two weeks with a program sponsored by Miami University and the Cincinnati Zoo.

Teachers Conducted Research in Africa

Kammerer Middle teacher Tracy Broadbent, JCPS resource teacher Charlotte Ivey, and Central High School Magnet Career Academy teacher Keri Meador were selected for the 2008 Earth Expeditions Program.

It allowed the teachers to study human-wildlife coexistence this summer in Kenya. (more…)

SECEP World Traveler: Cameo Slaybaugh

Locals Prepare for Costa Rica Project

Two local residents are packing their bags for two weeks of conservation research in Costa Rica.

Caldwell County Elementary School Library Media Specialist Tammie Sanders and her husband, Gordon, track coach for the University of Tennessee at Martin, are traveling to the Central American country of Costa Rica this weekend as part of the 2008 Earth Expeditions program. (more…)

Rio Grande – Gallipolis City Schools educator Sandra Forgey of Rio Grande has been selected as a 2008 Earth Expeditions participant adn this summer will travel to Kenya to study sustainable approaches to human-wildlife co-existence.

KJH Teacher to Conduct Research Overseas

Kings Junior High teacher Susan Seitz has been selected as a 2008 Earth Expeditions participant. This summer she will travel to the North Asian country of Mongolia to study steppe ecology, conservation and participatory radio.
