Although a Harmon Middle School teacher spent her summer in the Caribbean, it was not for fun in the sun.

Jennifer Harris, a fifth-grade math and science teacher at Harmon, was part of the 2008 Earth Expeditions program that sent her to Trinidad for 11/2 weeks. (more…)

Christina Amrein spent part of her summer vacation learning lessons she’ll teach this fall in her Our Lady of Victory classroom. Amhein was in Kenya for two weeks with a program sponsored by Miami University and the Cincinnati Zoo.

Teachers Conducted Research in Africa

Kammerer Middle teacher Tracy Broadbent, JCPS resource teacher Charlotte Ivey, and Central High School Magnet Career Academy teacher Keri Meador were selected for the 2008 Earth Expeditions Program.

It allowed the teachers to study human-wildlife coexistence this summer in Kenya. (more…)
